Where AI gets its answers

Before an engine names a company, it reads the web. These are the sites each engine cited most in its 60 answers for Australia, by the share of answers citing them.

One thing stands out. ChatGPT cites company sites directly: twilio.com tops its list, so a company’s own pages decide whether it is named.

What to do with your row

Most recommendedTop 3 on an engine

Open your full report, then take the “Top 3 in AI answers” badge. It names the engine, it links back here, and it is free. Then keep the spot: Findrix tracks all three engines for your company and tells you when a rival moves in.

MentionedNamed, not recommended

Findrix shows you, answer by answer, who took the recommendation instead of you and which sites got them there. Your site becomes a numbered list of edits, and the next scan confirms each one.

Not namedMissing from all 180 answers

Findrix runs your buyers’ questions for your company and shows what AI says instead of you, with every wrong fact and the correction written for you.

What “Top 3 in AI answers” means

Top 3 in AI answers · Findrix AI Rankings · Gemini · Communications API and CPaaS providers in Australia · October 2026Top 3 in AI answersFindrixCommunications API and CPaaS providers in AustraliaFindrix AI Rankings · Gemini · Oct 2026

A company gets the badge when it is in the top 3 on any single engine, by how many of that engine’s answers recommend it, not just name it. The badge names the engine, so a company can hold it on Gemini and not on ChatGPT. In Australia that is Twilio, Sinch and Telnyx on ChatGPT. Twilio, Sinch and Vonage on Gemini. Twilio, MessageMedia and ClickSend on Google AI Mode. 9 badges, 6 companies. A badge holder confirms its website inside the report and puts the badge on its site, and it links back to this page.

The 60 questions we asked

Every company was measured against the same 60 questions, asked the way a buyer types them, with no company name in the question. Grouped by how the question is asked: four kinds.

Use case (the job is named)

10 questions
  • Any good voice API in Australia for adding click-to-call inside a mobile app?
  • What's a reliable SMS API in Australia for automatic appointment reminders at a chain of physio clinics?
  • We need to text two-factor login codes to our customers, which messaging API has the best deliverability on Australian mobile networks?

+ 7 more questions in this group.

Alternatives (excluding the well-known)

the question asks for options outside the market leaders9 questions
  • Which SMS API in Australia supports alphanumeric sender IDs so texts show our business name instead of a number?
  • Besides the big global providers, what other communications APIs and CPaaS options in Australia suit a mid-sized logistics company?
  • What lesser-known voice API providers are used by Australian call centres?

+ 6 more questions in this group.

Criterion (price, reviews, support, integration)

a plain category question with one qualifier9 questions
  • We want customers to ring support straight from our web app without leaving it, which cloud communications platform in Australia can do that?
  • Can you recommend a voice calling API with flexible queue and skills-based routing options for an Australian support team?
  • Which communications APIs and CPaaS providers in Australia are cheapest for a small business sending only a few hundred texts a month?

+ 6 more questions in this group.

Other phrasing

32 questions
  • Looking for a two-way SMS API in Australia so clients can reply to confirm or reschedule their booking
  • Recommend an SMS gateway in Australia that gets one-time passcodes to users fast enough for our login flow
  • Which communications APIs and CPaaS providers in Australia are best for pushing out outage and service disruption notices to every customer at once?

+ 29 more questions in this group.

How we measure

Each of the 60 questions was asked once to ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode in October 2026: 180 answers. We read every answer and record which companies it names. A company’s share is the part of answers that name it. Different spellings of one company are merged into one row.

Left out: companies outside Australia, and names that aren’t communications api and cpaas providers. A name AI gave without a website we could find is listed without a profile.

One run per question means a single answer moves a company at the bottom of the table by a point. Treat differences of 1 to 2% as noise and the top 20 as stable.

Questions about this ranking

Why isn’t my company listed?

Either no engine named it in the 180 answers we read, or it was named and we could not match it to a website. Search the list above. If it was named, its full report is ready and you can add the website from there. If it was never named, Findrix shows what AI says when buyers ask about communications API and CPaaS providers, which rivals it names instead, and a ranked list of fixes: the page, the edit, and the next scan ticks it off. It starts with the 7-day trial.

What is in the full report?

Everything we collected about the company: its position on each of ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode, recommended or only mentioned, its average position in the answer and what AI says about it word for word. It opens after a quick login, free, for anyone. The “Top 3 in AI answers” badge goes on the company’s site when any engine puts it in its top 3.

Why would I subscribe if I am already listed?

This page is one snapshot. Findrix is where you control and grow your AI visibility over time: your own question set, 60 to 180 questions by plan, tracked for you and your rivals. On every answer you see recommended, only mentioned, or a rival, and which sites earned that rival the spot. Wrong facts come with the correction email written for you. Your site becomes a numbered plan: which page, what to change, confirmed by the next scan. A PDF report for you and your team. It starts with the 7-day trial.

Can I correct or remove my company’s listing?

Use Request a correction at the bottom of the page: we check the change against the answers and fix the listing. Sign in with an email on the company’s domain to open its full report. For anything else, write to us there too and we will look at it against your website.
