Two things stand out. Perplexity leans on finder.com.au for 75% of its answers, so a company not listed there is largely invisible on Perplexity. ChatGPT cites company sites directly: independentreserve.com tops its list, so a company’s own pages decide whether it is named.

Each of the 60 questions was asked once to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode in September 2026: 180 answers. We read every answer and record which companies it names. A company’s share is the part of answers that name it. Different spellings of one company are merged into one row.
Left out: companies outside Australia, and names that aren’t cryptocurrency and digital asset platforms. A name AI gave without a website we could find is listed without a profile.
One run per question means a single answer moves a company at the bottom of the table by a point. Treat differences of 1 to 2% as noise and the top 20 as stable.
Either no engine named it in the 180 answers we read, or it was named and we could not match it to a website. Search the list above.
